Sophie Cooper, described by Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival as ‘a crucial member of Yorkshire’s far-reaching experimental music scene’, reimagines her installation work Echoes and Reclamation for live performance at New Music Dublin 2026, in collaboration with cellist Eimear Reidy. Originally written for a brass quintet and shaped by ideas of recycling, reuse and field recording, the work transforms chopped and elongated musical material into an echoing sound landscape rooted in place.

The concert also marks the European debut of Strider, the long-running duo of violist Joanna Mattrey and artist Steven Long, whose alchemical procedures fuse field recordings, found objects, derelict instruments, keyboards and bowed strings to create ambient soundscapes in miniature.
