Support New Music from Ireland 

Join our mission and support creative and ambitious New Music Makers working across the island of Ireland!

The Contemporary Music Centre, Ireland (CMC) is the resource organisation and archive for Contemporary Music, supporting artists working in New Music throughout the island of Ireland. CMC connects New Music artists and audiences, facilitating opportunities for engagement, professional development and collaboration, both at home and internationally.

As the archive for New Music from the island, CMC maps our diverse vibrant musical landscape, safeguarding an ever-evolving collection for public access online and at the CMC Library on 19 Fishamble street. CMC also produces amplify a podcast dedicated to New Music from Ireland with over 100 episodes to date, covering artist' profiles, in-depth features, discussions and live event recordings.

In 2026, CMC will mark 40 years supporting the development of New Music in Ireland. This milestone year for CMC signals a period of transition, CMC is listening, reflecting, and evolving in response to artists’ needs and the changing cultural context. Through this, we aim to ensure that artists are supported not just to sustain their work, but to take risks, explore new ideas, and share them with audiences in meaningful ways.

All donations will achieve impact for New Music from Ireland through CMC’s activities and services which include:

  • Artist development opportunities for artists at all stages of their careers
  • Supporting Artists to make vital connections  - with each other, with organisations and with funders 
  • Developing international opportunities for Artists including residencies, networking events and commissions
  • Promotion of Artists' music - on the island of Ireland and internationally 
  • Documentation of Artists' music - as the national archive for New Music from Ireland
  • Providing accessible artist workspaces for research, rehearsal and recording
  • Providing advice  - on contemporary repertoire for performance and research,  on funding,  on the presentation of new work
  • Providing an accessible New Music events programme across the island of Ireland
  • Advocating for the New Music sector
