Irish Chamber Orchestra: 'Three Worlds' with Matthew Jacobson, featuring new music by Ronan Guilfoyle

Featuring: Irish Chamber Orchestra and Emily Davies (Director/Guest Leader) with Matthew Jacobson (Percussion).
Three worlds. Three sounds. One unmissable night of music.
We begin with Purcell’s Abdelazer Suite - all elegance, drama, and richly theatrical sound, straight from 17th-century England. From there, we head to Bohemia with Dvořák’s Serenade, full of warmth, joy, and melody that sings straight from the heart. Then, we journey to India for the world premiere of Ronan Guilfoyle’s vibrant tribute to percussion legend T.A.S. Mani. Blending bass guitar and the colours of raga poorvi, it’s a thrilling meeting of traditions, bursting with rhythm, invention, and life.
