IAYO 28th Festival of Youth Orchestras

The 28th Festival of Youth Orchestras will take place in the National Concert Hall on Saturday, 10 February 2024. The IAYO Festival of Youth Orchestras is the annual celebration of Ireland’s talented young musicians.
The Festival of Youth Orchestras is the annual celebration of Irish youth orchestras and their talented members with a great variety of music played by young people for young people. The programme features classics such as Finlandia by Jean Sibelius and The Firebird by Igor Stravinsky, music from the screen including Pirates of the Caribbean, pop anthems including Uptown Funk by Mark Ronson, traditional Irish music like The Wild Rover Waltz, original compositions from Irish composers and much more! On the day, there will also be the world premiere of Marching Bows by Irish composer Greg Scanlon, performed by SETU Budding Bows.
There will be two concerts on the day at 1pm and at 7.30pm.
