New Music Dublin: BAN BAM Screenings

Visit Room 107 throughout NMD 2023 to experience a trio of site-specific new improvisatory music films—presented by Improvised Music Company, in partnership with Moving on Music, and in association with the Irish Film Institute.
Composed in response to a 2020 BAN BAM commission for female and gender-minority artists across Ireland, these three films – featuring the compositions of Úna Monaghan, Sue Rynhart, & C.V. Lunny – are brought to life by some of Ireland's finest improvising musicians, in a variety of iconic locations across Ireland.
Commissioned by Improvised Music Company & Moving on Music as part of the BAN BAM Award 2020/21.
