Acts 'n Sounds - the "Visitors" show with Ensemble Garage and Bastard Assignments

Ensemble Garage and Bastard Assignments (London) present new works as part of 'Acts 'n Sounds'; a program that combines video, instrumental practice and cynical theater.

"Visitors" from are London-based Bastard Assignments: Timothy Cape, Edward Henderson, Caitlin Rowley and Josh Spear, four composer-performers making experimental music. Bastard Assignments work collaboratively and have developed a shared practice that encompasses concert music, movement work, online pieces, text, video, improvisation and performativity. They will work with four Ensemble Garage musicians – Annegret Mayer-Lindenberg, Yuka Ohta, Frank Riedel and Małgorzata Walentynowicz.

In addition, the Ensemble Garage will perform YESYESNONOYESNONONO by Eduardo Frank, a two-word based socio-sonic experiment of emotions, stories or intentions, and a melancholic piece by Natacha Diels: «sad music for lonely people» featuring quotes from songs by Billy Steinberg, Cyndi Lauper, Tom Waits, and Led Zeppelin.
