The Arts Council Launches New Music Policy Survey

The Arts Council is seeking responses from professional music artists, groups, organisations, festivals and individual industry practitioners. This survey, as part of a broader research plan which will include input from the wider public, is designed to guide a new music policy to be published by the Arts Council in mid-2022.

Respondents to the online survey are asked for specific information about their experiences of working in the music sector, their views on current Arts Council supports, and to identify priorities for further support and development.

The survey should take about 10 minutes to complete and can be accessed here.

Deadline for participation in this survey has been extended to midnight on Sunday 19th December. Those who have already submitted and wish to contribute a more detailed response may also write directly to musicpolicy@artcouncil.ie

CMC encourages our community of composers, performers and music practitioners to put forward their perspectives by contributing to this survey. The responses collected will inform music policy in Ireland for the future development of our sector.
