The Irish Composers’ Collective present ‘Conversations’, a collaboration with New Dublin Voices

New Dublin Voices

Conversations is a collaborative project that aims to develop a new Irish repertoire of choral music and facilitate close communication between choral practitioners, composers and the public.

Since February, a series of workshops involving New Dublin Voices and director Bernie Sherlock on writing for choir and contemporary repertoire have been held. The project culminates in two concerts, each of which features a programme of choral music by ICC members alongside pieces selected by the choir.

The first of these concerts will take place on 5 April at University Church, St Stephen’s Green, Dublin at 8.30pm. Supported by the Arts Council, the concert includes new works by ICC members Peter Leavy, David Collier, Donal McErlaine, Kian Geiselbrechtinger, Patrick Connolly, Anna Clifford and David Bremner, as well as Irish composers Michael Holohan, Eibhlis Farrell, and Ben Hanlon.

Further information on the project is available from the Irish Composers’ Collective web site.
