my one’s bigger than yours - a work by Judith Ring in Kaleidoscope night.

Kaleidoscope Night celebrates the delights of summer 
with some truly talented musicians and composers, the evening will be presented by
 Malachy Robinson, who has played a vital role in Kaleidoscope since 
it’s inception in 2009.

The first half of the evening will feature works by Couperin and Corelli and will end with Kate Ellis and Malachy Robinson performing 
the beautifully absorbing “my one’s bigger than yours”, a duo for
 cello and double bass by the young Irish composer Judith Ring.

The second half of the evening features the 
world premiere of “Una Dia En Sandybank”, a work by guitarist Ariel
 Hernandez, performed by Malachy Robinson on violone and Ariel on 
guitar. To end, four of Ireland’s 
finest saxophone players- Ken Edge, Kevin Hanafin,  Fintan Sutton and Rob
 Geraghty will perform the Saxophone Quartet by Philip
 Glass
