A new CD featuring a collaboration between composer David Bremner and Uillean piper Mark Redmond is released on 3 November

The CD, entitled l’air du temps | the spirit of the times, is the culmination of project of music for uilleann pipes and pipe organ exploring the connections (real / imagined) between two distinct traditions: traditional Irish slow airs and the music of the French Classical organ school. The performers are David Bremner (organ) and Mark Redmond (pipes), and the CD was recorded in Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin.

The album will be launched on 3 November at 8.00pm in Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin by Nicholas Carolan (Director, Irish Traditional Music Archive). The Dean of Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin, the Very Reverend Dermot Dunne, will also be in attendance and the launch will include a short performance of works from the album by David Bremner and Mark Redmond.
