Tucked away on the Northwest shores of the Shannon in the town of Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim, a unique, intimate and curious music, film and art festival will come to life over this October Bank Holiday weekend.

The Hunters Moon Festival, which celebrates the unusual in audio and visual, features Irish composer Jennifer Walshe and experimental filmmaker Vivienne Dick alongside acts from the USA (Josephine Foster), Russia (Phurpa), Belgium (Ludo Mich), Finland (Tomuttonttu), Sweden (Tsembla), the UK (Matthew Bower), and beyond.

The festival aims to “provide a space for musicians, artists, film makers and lovers of off-kilter culture to meet up and enjoy a mix of the psychedelic, experimental and droney in the Northwest of Ireland”.

The festival also hosts workshops, talks, an art trail and an experimental short film cinema.

The Hunters Moon Festival takes place in venues in Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim. Weekend tickets are available for €55, with day tickets €28 and event tickets €15. The festival also includes several free events.
