The Irish Composers' Collective presents John O Shea solo guitar

John O’Shea, guitarist is to perform for the Irish Composers’ Collective monthly concert series this month, playing new works by member composers. This month’s line-up of premieres includes work by Breifne Holohan, Donal Mac Erlaine, Patrick Connelly, Anna Murray, Ben McHugh, Daniel Barkley and Patrick O'Connor. The concert will take place in the Kevin Barry Room of the National Concert Hall.
John O’Shea, guitarist, began studying the guitar at age 12 and at 16 came to the DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama to study guitar with Michael O'Toole. John has won numerous college and national awards such as the Flood trophy for guitar performance at DIT and was the first Irish guitarist to get a scholarship to USC and has taken part in masterclasses with great guitarists such as Oscar Ghiglia, Xiufei Yang, David Russell and Scott Tennant.
