Trinity College Centre for Music Composition presents the inaugural lecture of Roger Doyle on 20 February

Composer Roger Doyle, adjunct professor of music at Trinity College, Dublin (TCD), will give his inaugural lecture, entitled “Music for the Theatre, Cinema for the Mind” from 6pm - 7.30pm in the Long Room Hub in TCD. The lecture is an exploration into the function of music in theatrical productions from simple “furniture music” to music integrated as an equal partner in the theatrical environment, in addition to examining composing of soundtracks for imaginary films - a “cinema for the ear” without a screen.
