Two-day festival celebrating the music of Gerald Barry takes place in Manchester
The Royal Northern College of Music will join forces with BBC Philharmonic to present a two-day festival that celebrates the music of Irish composer Gerald Barry at the end of January.
The festival is called Before the Road after the title of one of the orchestral works featured. The concerts feature the RNCM’s resident contemporary ensemble, the RNCM Brand New Orchestra, as well as a final concert with the BBC Philharmonic, who have performed a number of Barry’s works in the past.
