Ensemble Avalon performance to mark the Launch of the TCD Music Composition Centre

Trinity College, Dublin’s ensemble-in-residence, Ensemble Avalon, will perform a free concert on Sunday, 22 January in the Samuel Beckett Theatre.

Ensemble Avalon are a dynamic piano trio, made up of three of Ireland’s most accomplished soloists and chamber musicians. Since their inaugural concert in 2006 the trio have performed concerts, tours and series in Ireland, Italy and UK, and enjoy regular broadcasts on radio and television.

The concert marks the launch of the recently established Music Composition Centre at Trinity College, which aims to provide a new platform to produce active, practical composers equipped for the emerging music of the 21st century.
