Upcoming performances by the Fidelio Trio

Fidelio Trio Fidelio Trio

The Fidelio Trio have launched their 2013/14 season at St Patrick's College Drumcondra, featuring nine concerts as part of their residency there, a three-day Winter Chamber Music Festival, and five further performances in 2014.

The inaugural Chamber Music Festival takes place 1 – 3 November and sees the Trio joining forces with clarinettist Robert Plane and soprano Patricia Rozario for a number of concerts dedicated to different composers. The closing concert, along with a programme of Britten, Schubert and Shostakovitch, will include the world premiere of a new work by John Buckley. Also part of the festival are performances of Messiaen's Quartet for the End of Time, and music by Schubert and Brahms.

The season's programme also features a number of other works by Irish composers. On 4 December, a lunchtime concert will feature Raymond Deane's Marche Oubliée, while in 2014, the Trio will perform Donnacha Dennehy's Bulb (5 May), Ronan Guilfoyle's A Little Blues (9 July) and works by Rhona Clarke, Nicola leFanu and Sally Beamish as part of the 3rd Women and Music in Ireland Conference (10 May).
