Foreign Bodies, a play with music by Daniel Figgis, takes place in the Project from 24 July to 3 August
Inspired by a true story, Foreign Bodies is the story of Adam, a member of the Solidarno (Solidarity) movement, who, after the political crisis of 1989, has a male-to-female sex change operation and becomes Ewa. As Ewa, she immediately has to struggle with the poverty, solitude and social rejection in a new capitalist country.
The play by Julia Holewi xska with translation by Artur Zapa1 D2owski is presented at the Project Arts Centre by Polish Theatre Ireland and features music/sound design by composer Daniel Figgis. The show runs from 24 July to 3 August at 8.15pm, with previews taking place on 22–23 July, and matinée performances on 27 July and 3 August at 2.30pm.
