Hard Rain Ensemble perform in CMC's November Salon

hard rain logoThe Belfast-based new music group, Hard Rain Ensemble, perform a programme of works on 26 November at the Kevin Barry Room, National Concert Hall, Dublin at part of CMC’s Salon series.

Established in 2013 by composer and performer Greg Caffrey, the Hard Rain Ensemble is made up of Aisling Agnew (flutes), Sarah Watts (clarinets), Gascia Ouzounian (violin), David McCann (cello), Simon Mawhinney/Ryan Molloy (piano).

The group will perform a programme of works written especially for them by Belfast-based composer Piers Hellawell and the group’s artistic director Greg Caffrey, whose new work, In Search of a Human Dialogue, receives its premiere.

Both featured composers will be present and will talk about their work with composer Ian Wilson, the Salon curator and presenter.
