CMC presents and open evening for performers on 3 November
The information evening will focus on the services and facilities on offer to performers and how they can participate in and access works from CMC’s ‘Living Library’ of Irish composers’ works.
The evening will also provide a unique opportunity for performers to gain an insight into how CMC can assist with repertoire, concert programming and making connections with the new music sector in Ireland through a series of short informal presentations from the following:
- Tricia Lyons, CMC Library Assistant on how to source scores suitable to your performance needs.
- Karen Hennessy, CMC Promotion Manager on CMC’s events and performance opportunities at home and abroad, and working with Irish composers.
- Thérèse Fahy, pianist, will give an outline of CMC’s catalogue and resources and how she used them to help her build an exciting concert programme of modern Irish music.
- John McLachlan, Executive Director of the Association of Irish Composers (AIC) on the AIC’s “freedom of the composer” project.
The evening is open to all interested performers and takes place in the Contemporary Music Centre library on 3 November 2010, 6-7pm.
