CMC holds a special Christmas event on 14 December 2011

CMC under snow

The Contemporary Music Centre celebrates the end of a very eventful and busy 25th anniversary year with a party and music programme at its premises in Fishamble Street.

Flautist Joe O’Farrell will perform solo flute and flute and electronic works. This will be followed by a programme of electro-acoustic works by over 20 different Irish composers, curated by composer Grainne Mulvey.

It is an evening to say a big thank you to all of the composers, performers, audiences, funders, arts organisations we have been in touch with across 2011 and an opportunity for everyone to meet and welcome the arrival of Christmas and the New Year. Seasonal refreshments will be served and audience members will be able to move freely in and out of the space.

Admission is free, so why not come and raise a glass and meet the many composers, performers, funders, audiences, arts organisations and more that make up the vibrant new music sector in Ireland!

The programme and night is made possible through the generous provision of equipment by Grainne Mulvey. The event starts at 5:00pm and will end at 9:30opm.

A full programme for the evening is available to download [pdf].
