At 8pm on RTÉ' Radio one, Drama On One presents, The Room In The Tower, the second in Composer Roger Doyle's series of "cinema for the ear "projects, with script by Carlo Gébler adapted from E.F. Bensons story (1912). Following on from its successful staging at the National Concert Hall as part of the Absolute Fringe Festival, and as part of The Big Music Week, Roger Doyle's idea here is to compose a live soundtrack for an imaginary film with pre-recorded scenes so that listeners are given the impression they are present at the screening of a film, but one they cannot see, only hear. The Room in the Tower is a horror story based around a recurring nightmare, set in the early 20th century in a country house. Starring Robert O'Mahoney, Susan Fitzgerald, Davey Clements, David Heap, Sally Clements, Alan Stanford and Vyvienne Long.
