A Winter Greeting from CMC
As we approach the Winter Solstice and begin to look forward to brighter days returning, we reflect and are grateful for 2023, a year of growth and renewal for CMC and the New Music community in Ireland.
Through diverse activities delivered at home and internationally, working in partnership with artists and fellow organisations, CMC has continued to support New Music practitioners; connecting audiences with the artform and proudly mapping the vibrant landscape of New Music from across this island.
We are delighted to welcome new members to the CMC team Aileen Cahill and Garrett Sholdice who took up their roles as Music Information Co-ordinators, joined by Hannah Millington as Library Support.
To our ever expanding community of composers, performers, ensembles, organisations and audiences with whom CMC has shared an unforgettable 2023 - our warmest thanks to all of you for making this such a successful year for New Music from Ireland. We wish all the artists with whom we have been honoured to represent and work with continued success in the year ahead. We acknowledge the generous support of both the Arts Council of Ireland/An Chomhairle Ealaíon, and the Arts Council of Northern Ireland through the Project Lottery awards.
Sending best wishes for a peaceful holiday season and a musically adventurous new year from all of us here at CMC - and while we have you - a date for your 2024 diary! On 1 February, the feast of St Brigid / Imbolc, CMC will host a Spring gathering featuring performances, a chance to meet up, embark on new creative collaborations and to engage in our new season of Sparky Conversations. We look forward to welcoming in the Spring with you.
Beannachtaí na Nollag agus Athbhliain faoi shéan is faoi mhaise daoibh.
