Choral group Voci Nuove perform a concert featuring works by Irish composers in Cork
The concert, entitled 'Specturm', takes place at St Fin Barre's Cathedral, Cork on 12 November at 8pm, and features a programme of pieces by a range of Irish composers inspired by language, culture and history.
Voci Nuove is a Cork-based chamber choir conducted by Lynsey Callaghen. The choir was recently awarded the Contemporary Music Centre Award for the best performance of a piece by an Irish composer from the CMC Catalogue at the Derry International Choral Festival. The work from this winning performance, Michael Holohan's Bagairt na Marbh, features in programme, alongside works by other Irish composers, Ben Hanlon, Ciarán Hope, Sam Perkin, Greg Scanlon and Séan Doherty.
