Making Overtures, the Music Network professional development course, takes place in July.

Making Overtures 2010 is Music Network’s intensive, 5-day professional development course aimed at Irish and Ireland-based professional musicians and composers working in all musical genres. The programme focuses on the non-artistic elements of a successful music career, particularly self-promotion and self-management.

The course will be delivered by experienced Irish and international professionals working in a range of relevant fields including media, marketing, programming, finance & taxation and many more.

Music Network is offering two scholarship places for this course (to the value of €200 each) to recently graduated or current postgraduate students in performance or composition.

Making Overtures, 12 – 16 July, 2010

The Coach House, Dublin Castle, Dublin 2. Course Fee:  €200 (including tuition, lunch & refreshments).

Making Overtures places are allocated on a ‘first-come, first-served basis’, so book early to avoid disappointment.
