Fennessy Premiere on 5 February

David Fennessy's new work, Bodies, is premiered by the RTÉ NSO on 5 February.

Conductor Dmitri Jurowski, making his début with the orchestra, gives the first performance of this RTÉ commission in a concert that also includes Shostakovich's Piano Concerto No. 1 (soloist Hugh Tinney) and Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 4.

In the Soundings series, TCD music lecturer Simon Trezise gives a pre-concert talk at 7.00pm.
