The deadline is coming up for the 2010 Irish Composition Summer School in July.

With principal guest composer Kevin Volans and course directors Martin O'Leary and Kevin O'Connell, this year's Irish Composition Summer School offers an extensive range of lectures and presentations on all aspects of contemporary composition.

The ensemble in residence is the ConTempo String Quartet, puting the focus on contemporary writing for string duo/trio/quartet forces.  Electronics can also be employed, with technology director Ian Brabazon to oversee this area of the work.

The deadline for applications is 11 June 2010.
