Irish music in Mexico

The Mexican Philharmonic Orchestra celebrates St Patrick’s Day with a programme of Irish works on 24-25 March 2012 in Mexico City.

The concert, which is presented by the Irish Embassy and supported by Culture Ireland, will be conducted by Robert Houlihan and features works by Aloys Fleischmann, Séan Ó Riada, Frederick May, A.J. Potter and Donnacha Dennehy. The New York-based Irish violinist, Gregory Harrington, will be the soloist in Donnacha Dennehy’s work for violin and orchestra, Elastic Harmonic, and the Irish soprano Celine Byrne also features as soloist.
