TCD Composition Centre in association with CMC hold an open day for composers and new music performers on 21 February
The event, ‘Agora Day’, takes place from 2.00–6.00pm on Friday, 21 February at the Boydell Room, House 5, TCD and is free and open to the public.
Presented by Evangelia Rigaki, Director of Music Composition Centre and Bernard Clarke, RTÉ lyric fm Nova, the event is an open-mic style event which allows both emerging and established composers and performers to take to the stage to present or talk about their music or particular issues in whatever way they wish.
Following a submission process, which took place in January, each speaker will be allocated up to 15 minutes on the day and is given the opportunity to have their say unedited, uninterrupted. The event is an opportunity for audiences to see what is happening in composition in Ireland today, and to hear about the issues and the music.
