The Fidelio Trio bring new Irish music to South Africa
Ireland's celebrated piano trio The Fidelio Trio give an extensive tour of South Africa this autumn.
Continually promoting Irish composers on this tour they will perform music by Donnacha Dennehy, Kevin Volans and Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin. The trio have also programmed a number of South African composers, including a world premiere by Robert Fokkens alongside Mokale Koapeng and Michael Blake. Musical anniversaries being celebrated are Lizst and Grainger and music by Ravel and Schumann completes the tour programme.
The trio will also give a number of masterclasses to composition and performance students at UKZN, WITS and Stellenbosch.
