CMC Salon returns for a series of online events across summer 2020

During the summer months, CMC will bring back the successful CMC Salon with a series of online events. The CMC Salon online events will feature a selection of works by composers from Ireland, showcased by some of Ireland’s leading performers of contemporary music, with insightful contributions about the music from the composers and performers in conversation with CMC Director Evonne Ferguson.

This new series of the CMC Salon will commence at 6.00pm on Thursday, 4 June 2020, featuring leading exponents of contemporary music from Ireland Paul Roe and Marcella Barz on bass clarinet. The programme will include Amanda Feery’s Star-maker for bass clarinet in a performance with live electronics prepared by Marcella Barz, Stung for bass clarinet and live electronics by Frank Lyons and Jane O’Leary’s a piacere for bass clarinet. Join the CMC Salon from 6pm on Facebook live.

Full details of performers, composers whose works will be featured and dates of other forthcoming events in this series will be announced on an ongoing basis via CMC’s website and social media channels, so watch out for details as they are announced.
