David Bremner presents an evening of speculative music for pipe organ in Dublin on 6 March.
Fri 5 Mar 2010
On Saturday March 6th at 8pm David Bremner presents an evening of speculative music for pipe organ by 17th- and 21st-century composers at St Bartholomew's Church, Ballsbridge.
All the works featured have the quality of immersing the listener in the music's contrapuntal machinery itself. Three world premieres are included: David Bremner's Gorse Hill, Jonathan Nangle's BACH est mort, and Benedict Schlepper-Connolly's Your Light Illuminates Everything. The programme also includes Donnacha Dennehy's Mad Avid Sad as well as early music for organ.
