Kaleidoscope Night features new work by David Stalling.

This October, Kaleidoscope are delighted to present two special late night events as part of the Ulster Bank Dublin Theatre Festival Club: Tuesday October 4th 2011 and Wednesday October 12th 2011 both at the Kaleidoscope HQ, The Odessa Club, 13 Dame Court, Dublin 2, doors open at 10pm.

On Tuesday 4th October, UK based Ben Cashell performs a selection of movements from J.S Bach, Suite No.4 for Solo Violoncello in Eflat Major, BWV 1010 followed by his own interpretation of the song 'To Build a Home' by the Cinematic Orchestra. The night also features works from Poulenc and Mozart and to end the evening Tarab arrive on stage fresh from their performance of the Rough Magic production of Peer Gynt as part of the Ulster Bank Dublin Theatre Festival.

 

To celebrate 50 years of the Goethe Institute in Dublin, the UBDTF have a exciting strand of German theatre running through their programme, under the banner "The Radical Mind".  On October 12th Kaleidoscope present an evening of music responding to this German strand with a diverse and exciting programme celebrating radical German composers through the ages. Irish based Germand composer David Stalling and award winning actor Olwen Fouere presenting a new work, devised for the occasion, inspired by Goethe's work. The wonderful Julie Feeney, accompanied by Conor Linehan on piano, will also perform excerpts from "The Seven Deadly Sins" by Brecht/Weill.
