Camerata Ireland invites applications for its Clandeboye Masterclasses in August.
Camerata Ireland invites applications from outstanding young musicians to participate in the Clandeboye International Festival and masterclasses from 16 - 20 August 2010.
Now in its seventh year, the festival offers another unique opportunity for young musicians to work with international soloists as they teach and perform in the beautiful surrounding of the Clandeboye Estate in Northern Ireland.
The 2010 Clandeboye Artists-in-Residence are Barry Douglas (piano), Graf Mourja (violin), Nobuko Imai (viola), Andres Diaz (cello), Michel Lethiec (clarinet), Richard Watkins (horn). Up to 10 applicants will be awarded scholarships to participate. They will arrive at Clandeboye, outside Belfast, on Sunday 15 August and will work daily with the Festival’s Artists-in-Residence. All classes, accommodation and food are provided free. On the evening of 19 August 2010 all masterclass participants will perform in a public concert with piano accompaniment.
Masterclass participants will also be eligible and considered for a number of prizes and awards including The Camerata Ireland / Accenture Young Musician of the Year Award.
