The first CMC new music::new Ireland salon takes place as part of Waterford New Music Week, with music by Linda Buckley, Deirdre McKay, Emma O'Halloran, Judith Ring and Eric Sweeney, played by Kate Ellis and Paul Roe.

- 4 February, 8pm, Waterford City Hall: Valerie Leahy, Marian Ingoldsby, Michael O'Toole and Jimmy O'Brien Moran play Linda Buckley's Glimmer and a new song cycle by Ingoldsby.
- 6 February, 8pm, Garter Lane Arts Centre, Waterford: RTÉ Vanbrugh Quartet plays Raymond Deane's Embers and Deirdre McKay's mr shah stares to the heavens.
- 7 Feburary, 1pm, WIT College Street Campus: Eric Sweeney performs his own music and that of his students, with poetry by Mark Roper.
- 8 February, 1pm, WIT College Street Campus: Ruth Gallagher and Colin Harries perform student works
- 9 February, 11am, Waterford Central Library: New Music Choir conducted by Anne Woodworth, playing a new work by Marian Ingoldsby.

The RTÉ NSO Horizons series continues with a concert curated by composer Raymond Deane, who celebrates his 60th birthday this year. The concert will open with influential American composer Carl Ruggles' Portals, as well as Deane's works Epitomes and the RTÉ commissioned Ripieno.
