NewSoundWorlds Festival in Paris

Irish composers feature prominently in a three-day festival at the Center Culturel Irlandais, Paris during October. The festival, which takes place from 25–27 October 2012, is organised by NewSoundWorlds and curated by composer Siobhán Cleary.

Supported by Culture Ireland, the festival includes concerts given by the Vanbrugh Quartet and pianist Hugh Tinney (25 October); violinist Catherine and Hugh Tinney (26 October); and the NewSoundWorlds Ensemble (27 October).

Featured composers include Elaine Agnew, Gerald Barry, Enda Bates, Raymond Deane, Donnacha Dennehy, Benjamin Dwyer, David Fennessy, Dave Flynn, Andrew Hamilton, Gráinne Mulvey, Garrett Sholdice, Jennifer Walshe, and Ian Wilson.
