City of Derry International Choral Festival: Oak Tree of Derry International Competition

A highlight of the Festival and a sell-out success in 2024, the Oak Tree of Derry International Competition returns to the iconic Guildhall for an exhilarating celebration of global choral talent. This prestigious event brings together world-class choirs from across the globe, showcasing diverse voices, cultures, and musical traditions in a dazzling contest judged by an international panel. With past winners from Ireland, Slovenia, Indonesia, Estonia, Wales, and Latvia, it’s a night that pushes artistic boundaries and celebrates the very best in choral music. Early booking is strongly advised.

The choirs participating in this year's international competition are: Asaph Choir (Nigeria); University of Santo Tomas Singers (Philippines); I.N.T.A. Mixed Choir (Estonia); Laetare Vocal Ensemble (Ireland); UCC Singers (Ireland).
