Join Hard Rain Soloist Ensemble for an evening of contemporary music, featuring landmark works by Pierre Boulez alongside a selection of innovative ensemble pieces at the Sonic Lab at SARC. Anthèmes 2 (1997), performed by Darragh Morgan, is a virtuosic exploration of space and sound for violin and live electronics. Dialogue de l’ombre double (1984), performed by Sarah Watts, is a theatrical and introspective work for clarinet and tape. Both pieces feature live electronics realised by Peter O’Doherty. These iconic works sit alongside ensemble repertoire that reflects Hard Rain’s dedication to adventurous, cutting-edge music.
