East Cork Early Music and UCC Fuaim: Body & Soul

Bridging time periods and diverse cultures, this lunchtime programme invites listeners into the unique sound-world of New Music performed on historical instruments: baroque violin (Caitríona O’Mahony), viola da gamba (Sarah Groser), harpsichord (Yonit Kosovske), and hurdy gurdy (Vlad Smishkewych). Repertoire includes several Cork premieres and an exciting world premiere of ‘Fuming, Johanna Fitzgibbon of Limerick’, Brooke Green’s new composition inspired by her ancestral family history in Limerick.

Also featured in this concert are contemporary works by Fiona Linnane- 'Leatherwing', Tal Arbel, Will Ayton, and Samuel Howley.
