Boyne Music Festival 2024: Closing Concert - 'Journeys'

The 2024 Boyne Music Festival closes this year with an exciting afternoon chamber music programme featuring Florence Prices’s exhilarating Piano Quintet, a world premiere chamber work by Ian Wilson, and performances by three of this year’s BMF Young Artists.

Featuring artists: Vourneen Ryan, flute; Lynda O’Connor, violin; Aisling Manning, violin; Robin Panter, viola; William Butt, cello; Julie-Anne Manning, cello; Ana Maria Labin, soprano; Deirdre Brenner, piano; Iona Kaye, mezzo-soprano (BMF Young Artist); Edward Lloyd, piano (BMF Young Artist); Jonas Marcel Bless, clarinet (BMF Young Artist).

Coffee, tea and other refreshments will be available at Townley Hall.

There will be a FREE pre-concert talk with CMC Composer Ian Wilson before the festival’s closing concert. Ian will speak about his compositional process in preparing this year’s BMF commission, “The Music of Stones” for flute, violin, viola, cello and piano, which will receive its world premiere in the festival’s closing concert. The pre-concert talk takes place from 2.30pm-3.30pm on Sunday 28 July, book a free ticket here.
