National String Quartet Foundation: ConTempo Quartet featuring a work by Jane O'Leary (TOUR)

The ConTempo Quartet was founded in Bucharest in 1995 and has been based in Ireland since 2003 as Galway Music Residency’s Ensemble in Residence. They have performed nearly 2000 concerts in 46 countries. Rebecca Clarke’s Poem from 1924 and CMC Composer Jane O’Leary’s 2005 ConTempo Conversations are framed in this programme by Haydn’s Joke quartet and Schubert’s posthumously published G major quartet.
Tour runs from 20 - 24 September.
