Sundays@Noon presents Paul Roe and Marco Ramelli, featuring a new work by John McLachlan
Hugh Lane Municipal Gallery of Modern Art

Paul Roe, clarinets; Marco Ramelli, guitar.
Marco Ramelli (Guitar) & Paul Roe (Clarinets) are collaborative artists that shape and are shaped by music. They are curious about relationships and the betweenness evoked from connections and the quality of those connections. In particular they share a profound interest in deep listening through and within the body. These senses of, proprioception and interoception are spaces that provide portals to increasing the personal & collective consciousness. Together with composers John McLachlan and Kenneth Edge they will curate a listening experience that invites curiosity and insight.
This programme will feature a new work for the duo by Ken, a 2021 work composed by John (in collaboration with Paul) called, A fine example of how (not) to live for bass clarinet doubling Bb & C clarinets and fixed media, with words by writer Leland Bardwell. Other music includes Arvo Part, George Gurdjieff and some improvisations. There will also be spoken word passages and most importantly an invitation to Listen With Your Whole Body.
