Christmas for Martin - Kendu Music presents a Christmas concert in aid of the Irish Cancer Society, titled Parousia, in memory of the Swiss historian and international journalist Dr. Martin Alioth.
Featuring: Mick O’Brien, Uilleann pipes; Sibéal Ní Casaide, singer; Odhran O’Casaide, violin; Morgan Crowley, counter tenor; Mike Nielsen, guitar; Didzis Kalnins, piano; Michael Holohan, Composer / Conductor; 4inabar, vocal quartet; The ConTempo String Quartet and The Boyne Valley Chamber Orchestra.

A host of talented musicians will perform music spanning the centuries from the early music of the Renaissance to contemporary traditional and classical crossover. A number of new arrangements by CMC Composer Michael Holohan will be premiered during the concert including a full performance of Holohan's The Road to Lough Swilly for uilleann pipes and string orchestra.
Other works will include the traditional air The Parting Glass; the classical works Magnum Mysterium by Tomas Luis de Vittoria; Feux d’artifice by Claude Debussy; Piece from the year 1981 by Lepo Sumera; December by Peter Tchaikovsky; Vedro Con Min Diletto by Antonio Vivaldi and The Christmas Concerto by Arcangelo Corelli.
