Opening the evening Isabelle O’Connell, pianist, brings a beautiful program of renowned living Irish new music composers, whom have created one of the most exciting and diverse music scenes in the world today. 

Iarla Ó Lionáird, vocalist, and Contemporaneous, new music ensemble, partner for the first time to perform reimagined sean-nós songs by composer Dan Trueman, these arrangements, created from the oldest origins of Irish music, bring to the stage a living tradition in a modern light. Deeply set in the repertoire of Contemporaneous, Grá agus Bás, by composer Donnacha Dennehy, will be revisited by the group by joining voices with Iarla Ó Lionáird to perform this well established and stunning piece of contemporary chamber music.
