Premiere of Ronan Guilfoyle's A Shy-Going Boy

Ronan Guilfoyle (bass), Nick Smart (tpt), Sam Comerford (sax), Chris Guilfoyle (gui), Izumi Kimura (pf) and Conor Guilfoyle (dmkit) perform the premiere of this new work by Ronan Guilfoyle.

The composer uses composition, improvisation and audio to explore the life and times of his Grandfather Joe Guilfoyle, who took part in the 1916 Rising and was a member of Michael Collins’ inner circle during the War of Independence.
