CANCELLED: New Music Dublin 2018

1 March 2018 18:00 - 4 March 2018 23:00

ALL NEW MUSIC DUBLIN 2018 EVENTS CANCELLED.

New Music Dublin 2018 announces with great regret that all scheduled festival concerts and events on Saturday and Sunday have been cancelled due to recent well-documented weather events and the impact on artist travel, logistics and rehearsal scheduling.

A statement from NMD says "We would like to apologise to all New Music Dublin customers, participants and staff for any disappointment and inconvenience this will cause. This festival was an enormous undertaking for us all with over 540 people due to perform in 26 events on 10 stages over four days. We were enormously encouraged by the enthusiastic response to the programme by our wonderful musicians, composers and most importantly the public.
New Music Dublin is working to reschedule
as many as possible 2018 festival events later in the year: details to follow.
In addition, the overwhelming goodwill has heartened us and made us determined to return next year with a 2019 festival programme that will once again excite adventurous minds and curious ears."

New Music Dublin wishes to advise that tickets for cancelled events will be refunded in the coming days. Please follow New Music Dublin social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) for the latest news and updates.

Taking place at the National Concert Hall and beyond, the festival programme includes concerts, world premieres, talks, walking tours, films, all-ages events and late night shows focused on new music: from classical to electronica, alt-rock to sound art, choral to experimental and much more in-between.

Now in its fifth outing, New Music Dublin 2018 has been curated by composer John Harris, who is also chief executive and artistic co-director of the Red Note Ensemble in Scotland.
