Volume Four in a series of promotional CDs issued without charge by the Contemporary Music Centre to provide a stimulating introduction to the work of Irish composers. A work of dark, gothic beauty, “Dubh” presents seven tracks by seven Irish composers: Linda Buckley, Judith Ring, Enda Bates, Peter Moran, Scott McLaughlin, Garrett Sholdice and Benedict Schlepper-Connolly. The CD features Amsterdam-based new music group, Trio Scordatura who create spaces both of astonishing intimacy and subtlety, and almost terrifying, textured expansiveness.

This Ergodos release focusses on the music of Judith Ring, featuring performances from Paul Roe, Kate Ellis, Malachy Robinson, Michelle O'Rourke, Natasha Lohan, Laura Moody, Beau Stocker.and Concorde.
