Coole Culture, in collaboration with Music Generation Galway County’s Symphonic Waves Youth Orchestra, RTÉ’s Concert Orchestra and supported by the Royal Astronomical Society’s 200th birthday celebrations, Galway 2020, the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, and the National University of Ireland Galway, invites commissions for “What Is The Stars?”, an open air concert and weekend fiesta in the old cricket ground at Coole Park in September, 2020. It is intended that the new works will be premiered at the starlit concert on Saturday 26th September, 2020.
Coole Culture proposes these commissions, and the festive concert itself, as a legacy for new generations of artists in the legendary grounds of Coole Park.
CRITERIA FOR SUBMISSION
