EMPOWER 2026 Dublin Call for Proposals
The EMPOWER 2026 tour celebrates the creativity and visibility of women in classical-contemporary music. Across five events in London, Manchester, Dublin, Glasgow and Cardiff, we invite emerging ensembles and female composers to propose exciting, thought-provoking programmes showcasing works by female-identifying composers.
Applicants can apply as an ensemble (proposing a complete programme for 3 or more players) or as a composer (submitting a work to be performed by your own confirmed ensemble/personnel of 3 or more players).
- This event is taking place at the Whyte Recital Hall, Royal Irish Academy of Music, Dublin, on Sunday 8 March 2026, 7:30-10pm
- Deadline for applications = Friday 5 December 2025, 5pm
- Music can be of any genre, and we encourage programming to be creative and boundary defying
- Programme to be no longer than 10 minutes
- All works must be written by female composers (we welcome applications from cis and trans women, as well as non-binary people who wish to apply)
- Ensembles can be made up of performers from across the gender spectrum
- Late applications will not be considered
- The artist fee for this event will be confirmed upon a successful application.
Final decisions are made based on submitted proposals, which are assessed on:
- Choice of repertoire
- Strength and originality of the programme
- Instrumentation and variety across events
- Motivation to take part
