Ann Cleare talks about her residency at the soundSCAPE Festival [audio feature]

Since 2012 CMC, in partnership with the Association of Irish Composers with support from Culture Ireland, has supported an artist residency at the soundSCAPE new music festival in northern Italy.

For this year’s festival, which took place in July in Cesena, composer Ann Cleare was selected as Irish Artist-in-Residence.

She curated a concert of works by Irish composers, entitled Surrealist Voices from Ireland, and gave talks on the composers and works featured in this concert, as well as her own work.

The following is an audio interview recorded with the composer in which she talks about the residency and some of her experiences at the festival, as well as her upcoming projects taking place in Iceland during October 2018.
