RTÉ NSO CMC Composer Lab 2019 - Public Workshop

1 April 2019 10:00

Main Stage, National Concert Hall

Composer Lab is aimed at emerging composers who have had their work performed professionally, but who have not yet had the chance to work with a symphony orchestra.  It is specifically designed to provide participant composers with a creative and open environment in which to deepen their understanding of writing for these forces.
Ahead of world premiere performances of new works completed as part of Composer Lab 2019, participant composers Peter Fahey, Kerry Hagan, Daniel McDermott and Sam Perkin will bring their individual works-in-progress to the National Concert Hall stage for a Public Workshop starting at 10.00am on Monday, 1st April 2019.

With feedback to the composers given by acclaimed composer from Ireland David Fennessy in the role of mentor, conductor Gavin Maloney and members of the orchestra, this Public Workshop promises to be a fascinating insight for the audience into the challenges and complexities of writing for orchestra.

This is a free ticketed event; however, as tickets are limited, early booking is advised.

Booking is through the National Concert Hall or by phone on (01) 417 0000.
